MD Lash Factor Review

MD Lash Factor is a lash enhancement conditioner created by Dr. Susan Lin of MD Laser & Cosmetics to promote longer and fuller lashes especially for those who have borne the brunt of often using cosmetics such as mascara and the likes.

Applied once daily, the product promises more than 40% increase in the lash length within 4 weeks. It is applied as you would apply eyeliner on the eyelash hairline. It is marketed as a product that can be used on eyebrows too. It is to be applied only once every night after cleansing your skin. It has to be applied using a brush applicator along the base of both the upper and lower lash line.

MD Lash Factor Ingredients

The key ingredients of the product are summarized as MD Lash Factor Nutritional Complex that is derived from milk. It is known to promote healthy lashes by enhancing the essential biochemical properties in the hair follicles.

Other ingredients of MD Lash Factor Eyelash Conditioner include Thiotane, which is a powerful amino acid that acts as a strong anti-oxidant and a shield against environmental pollutants, and Panthenol that moisturizes the lashes making them fuller and thicker.

Other vital ingredients of the newly improved MD Lash Factor are hydrolyzed glycosaminoglycans, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Chloride, biotin, Sodium Lactate, alcohol, inositol, citric acid, Sodium Citrate, proline, and Sodium Phosphate.

MD Lash Factor Pros

✅MD Lash Factor Eyelash Conditioner is devoid of any drugs or the controversial prostaglandin analogues.
✅There is no need for a physicians prescription to purchase this product.
✅The product is paraben free and hypoallergenic.

MD Lash Factor Cons

❌The website fails to throw light on what constitutes the mysterious MD Lash Factor Nutritional Complex that forms the key ingredients of the product.
❌The disclaimer on the official website of MD Lash Factor shrugs all responsibility expected of any eyelash growth product namely to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth.
❌MD Lash factor is not easily available in drugstores and has to be ordered online or through dispensing physicians.
❌Though the product is advertised as hypoallergenic, there have been significant cases of eye irritation and other side effects such as redness in the eye and itchy or sore eyes while using MD Lash Factor.
❌The product priced at $140 is on the expensive side.

MD Lash Factor Side Effects

As is typical of all eye products, if MD Lash Factor comes in direct contact with the eye, it could cause irritation, particularly if the area is already agitated. There might be some minor irritation on the lid where the product is applied. If this lasts more than a day or two, discontinue use and contact a physician. It is recommended that women who are pregnant or breast feeding not use the product, as an extra precaution.

MD Lash Factor eyelash conditioner, though promoted as an eyelash growth product does not take the onus to either treat or reduce hair loss or induce eyelash growth as is evident from the disclaimer on the official website of the product.

At $140 per tube, the customer has the right to expect much more from the product than just moisturizing and conditioning the eyelashes. Although there are positive reviews stating the effectiveness of the product in the growth of the eyelashes within few weeks of application, others claim to have had no effect even after using the product for more than three months. It is clearly the case of the product working for select group of customers.

The question is would you want to try your luck by shelling out $140 when there are better options available in the same category.

  1. I tried MD Lash Factor and am SO glad that I did. I was skeptical, and knew that I might just be blowing my money by ordering it. But by gosh, it absolutely works. I noticed a difference the first week.

My lashes started out becoming thicker, and by the third week, longer. After a month and a half the thickness and length continues to grow, and now the color of my lashes are getting darker. My daughter visited me a month after using it and couldn’t believe the difference, especially my lower lashes (which had been almost non-existant).

I am really enjoying the affect when I wear mascara. Before, it just emphasized how short my lashes were. Now, it shows them off. I’m not used to it!!

  2. I ordered MD Lash Factor through a friend in the US, as they would not send it to Australia. My 2 clients used it and it worked wonders for them, thats how i got onto it. I used it for 5 months religiously every night, and it had no effect on me, which was dissapointing and frustrating. Since then i used other products and still in search of the one that would actually work. I used DREAM LASH, and then MAVALA, all orederd from the net. Very slight improvment.

  3. I got MD Lash Factor with not really any expectations. I’m not sure when I started to notice the difference, but I definately have more and longer top lashes. It didn’t seem to do any difference on the bottom ones. I will order it again.

  4. I had experience similar to Marina P. The product was highly recommended by a friend. It had worked for her, so I figured it would work for me. I ordered from the official website. I applied it every night, religiously, for about 4 1/2 months, but to no avail. I experienced mild irritation for a while, but I tolerated it, in the interest of allowing the product to work. There is absolutely no change in my lashes.

In my book, they get no stars.

  5. I highly recommend this product! I now have loger and fuller lashes! I bought it in march, and in may/june I stardted to really see the results! I get so many comments on my lashes:) Hugs from Norway!

  6. I started using MD Lash Factor about 4 months ago. Used strictly according to instructions, very sparsely, top lid only, every night after thorough cleaning. I experienced very red irritated and painful eyes, no amount of eyedrops helped. I stopped using it for a few days and started again to find that I developed white bumps, like white heads, the ones you can’t squeese out, all along my lash line top and bottom, on my eyelids and the corners of my eyes. They felt very tight, scratchy and irritated. I stopped using the product after a total of about 7 weeks, a pity because my lashes were lengthening nicely, some to the extent where I had to trim them.
