L’Oreal Lash Boosting Serum Review

Created by the world renowned make up and skin care manufacturer L’Oreal, the L’Oreal Double Extend Lash Boosting Serum promises to deliver excellent results. The product promises thicker, fuller and more voluminous lashes without the fall outs within four weeks time.

How Does It Work and What Are L’Oreal Lash Serum Ingredients?

The product is applied on the lashes, just like Lash Boost. The only difference is that the serum comes in a clear liquid, which is easy and smooth to apply. The product should be applied right on the lash line and up to the lashes, and the applications should be continued for at least four weeks. The serum comes in a system and is best used with the Double Extend Lash Boosting Mascara. The serum is applied twice a day, in the morning and in the evening on bare eyelashes. Mascara can be applied over the serum during day applications.

L’Oreal Double Extend Lash Boosting Serum contains several ingredients formulated by the L’Oreal Paris Research laboratories, and these include two amino acids, Panthenol and Cermaide, which are pro keratin amino acids that promote the appearance of lashes. Arginine is another amino acid which is found in Keratin, and works to reinforce the lashes. The serum also contains Centella Asiatice, which is a conditioning plant extract.

✅The products seems to be reliable in terms of safety and effectiveness and evoke high hopes from consumers since it does come from L’Oreal.
✅Users who have tried the product like the fact that the serum is not sticky, but glides on easily on the lashes. It’s semi gel texture dries on very fast making it very easy to apply.
✅It is also lightweight and does not feel heavy on the lashes.
✅Aside from being a lengthening and volumizing serum, it is supposed to work as a mascara primer as well.
✅It is easily available in most beauty stores and is relatively reasonable in pricing in comparison to other high end mascara primers.

❌The most common complaint from product users is that the product dries up quite quickly, which means that the product application should also be done fast and quick.
❌Also, it is difficult to use as a mascara primer since it causes the mascara to clump and flake off.
❌It also takes some time in order to completely cover up the white primer using mascara.
❌Some users may have experienced minimal improvement on the length of the lashes, plenty of users have also complained about the lack of results.
❌The product can also cause irritation, especially to sensitive eyes.

L’Oreal Lash Boosting Serum Side Effects

L’Oreal Double Extend Lash Boosting Serum can cause slight irritation to the eyes, especially when applied on the lower lash line. Itching and redness can occur.

All in all, the L’Oreal Double Extend Lash Boosting Serum promises to lengthen lashes, but the results, while they vary a bit, are mostly minimal. While it may be used as a primer in order to make up for its ineffectiveness as a lengthening product, it can also be cumbersome to use with mascara. Thus, while it falls in between when it comes to uses and purposes, its results make it an unnecessary buy for anyone who needs a real lash lengthening product, or a real mascara primer.

  1. I’ve used Loreal lash boosting serum for more than a month and am happy with the results. I haven’t used the pricey lash growth products, so I can’t compare with those. But it’s way better than regular old mascara which smudges and causes my lashes to fall. The only time this product has smudged is after I’ve gone for a swim.

  2. I started using this product 4 days ago, and I ended in the doctor’s office. It cause me two chalazions (one in each eye) & I had to stop using it. I do not know if it is the product or not, but my doctor recommended me to put it away.Right now I can not use any product in my eye as long as I am not cure of it.

  3. I definitely achieved results with volume, less fall out, and my lashes appear darker after 4 weeks of use. I have not yet noticed improvement in length. But the formula is non-irritating, easy to apply, and my lashes appear and feel healthier. I also appreciate the economical price.

  4. I have used this product for two months now and i am very pleased with the results. My lashes are longer and much fuller than before. The results are clearly noticable as friends have commented how long my lashes are. I have noticed very little fall out.I will definately continue to use this product and urge anyone who is thinking about it and comparing it to other more expensive products to give it ago. Its very reasonably priced and worth every penny.

  5. I have used it for about a month and I am pleased with the results. My lashes are definitely healthy than before, I could see some new lashes growing in the inner corners. Lashes look heathy even without the mascara. The results are not so great with the length of the lashes.. may be over time. This product is a keeper at a great price.

  6. I have used this product for over 2 months—- Today< i decided to check out RapidLash, but will probably go ahead and invest in a more costly one from the doctor.
    Very very disappointed!

  7. I buyed the product yesterday, and i feel my lashes is becomming more smooth. but i don’t think that it will make them longer cause of the ingredientst in ot cant make it.

  8. After three weeks of using the Serum alone (NOT the Double Extend version), I have seen a growth of 1/4 inch! My lashes look thicker and more dramatic, even without mascara. I am very impressed with L’Oreal’s Serum. The above review seems to be confusing the serum with the DoubleExtend Lash Extender that CONTAINS the serum in a pasty white primer. The serum alone is all I’ve needed and, for the price, I’d say anyone with hardy eyes (not uber sensitive, who might want to think twice about ANYTHING that goes near them) would want to check it out.

  9. I had the same problem of Lola. Used it for 4 days and have had a rash and irritation in both eyes for 4 days now. My upper and lower lids look swollen and burnt.
It’s such a shame because I trust in L’Oreal for many products.

  10. I used Loreal Eyelash serum and at first I thought it was going to work. Now my eyelids itch constantly and half my lashes have fallen OUT! Great product! This should be taken off the market!!! DON’T USE IT!

  11. I’ve used the Loreal eyelash serum for about two months now and am very happy with it. I am over 60 and had noticed a definite thinning of my lashes over the years. This product has helped tremendously in both overall length and thickness. I will continue to use it, definitely. I have not tried to put mascara on over it – my sister and her daughter recommended against it since they had had problems doing so. Also, I’m often allergic to cosmetics with any fragrance and have generally sensitive skin – I’ve had not reaction to this serum.

  12. Tried it for several months, and used it twice a day. There was no difference in my lashes. The only thing that happened is that it dried on the lashes and left a film that peeled and left white flakes on the lashes. I went back to using a prodict by Ardell.

  13. i noticed a difference fairly quickly. i have an area of lashes that for years, have broken off easily and are always shorter than the rest. now, this area has grown back and is no longer noticeable. i use an eyelash curler and waterproof mascara (baby oil to take it off) everyday, so i am a little rough on my lashes. i have extremely sensitive eyes and wear contact lenses and have no problem with this product. i only use it at night and i am very liberal with it on my lash line as well as on my lashes.

  14. I used to use Loreal Lash serum. Sort of liked it at first because my lashes seemed to be growing. Probably is I discovered those new lashes were going every which way – not the way Real lashes should go. Trying to curl my lashes to get these ‘new’ lashes grew did not work. The serum also left a whitish dandruff-like That was hard to keep getting rid of.
also tried it on my eyebrows – same thing – hair growing all which ways & looks like dandruff there.
The Horrible thing is – I’m still having to mess with this MESS a few months later. – NOT WORTH IT!

  15. BIG SECRET…. I use Loreal Lash Boosting Serum ON MY SCALP AND IT GROWS HAIR. Who cares about eyelashes. When your hair starts to thin, that is way more important. No one has talked about this, but I figured if it grows lashes it will work on my thinning hair. I apply it right in the front where I part my hair, as that is where it has started to thin. The .18 oz serum usually lasts 2-3 weeks and I’ve done this 3 times in a year and a half. Each time it literally grows hair within 2 weeks. My hair stylist was amazed at what I did and the results. I’m Thrilled to death.
